1. About Enterprise Barbados
Enterprise Barbados is an online marketplace connecting customers with independent service providers, businesses and job seekers throughout Barbados.
Our platform allows users to advertise services, post jobs, search for professionals, request bookings and communicate with one another.
Enterprise Barbados is a connecting platform. We do not directly employ, supervise or control the independent service providers listed on our website.
2. User Registration
Users must provide accurate information when creating an account.
Email verification is required, and service provider accounts may require administrator approval before becoming publicly available.
Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their accounts and all activities carried out through them.
We reserve the right to suspend or remove accounts containing false information or violating these terms.
3. Service Providers
Service providers are responsible for:
Providing accurate business descriptions, prices and contact information.
Having any qualifications, licences or permits required for their services.
Completing accepted work professionally and safely.
Honouring agreed bookings, prices and arrangements.
Complying with applicable laws in Barbados.
Approval or verification on Enterprise Barbados does not guarantee the quality, reliability, qualifications or conduct of a service provider.
4. Customers and Job Postings
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information when posting jobs or requesting services.
Customers should independently verify a provider’s experience, qualifications and suitability before hiring.
Any agreements concerning work, pricing, deposits, materials, deadlines or payments are made directly between the customer and service provider.
5. Bookings and Payments
Enterprise Barbados provides tools to request and manage bookings and appointments.
A booking request does not guarantee that a provider will accept or complete the service.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, payments, refunds, cancellations and financial arrangements are handled directly between customers and service providers.
Enterprise Barbados is not responsible for payment disputes between users.
6. Job Seekers and Employment
Job seekers are responsible for the accuracy of their profiles, employment history, qualifications and CVs.
Employers and individuals hiring workers are responsible for verifying applicants and complying with applicable employment laws.
Enterprise Barbados does not guarantee employment, job offers, interviews or the suitability of any applicant or employer.
7. Recommendations and Verification
Recommendations and verification badges are intended to help users make informed decisions.
They do not constitute a guarantee or warranty of service quality, professional qualifications, identity, safety or future performance.
Users should conduct their own checks before entering into agreements.
8. Prohibited Activities
Users must not:
Publish false, misleading or fraudulent information.
Harass, threaten or discriminate against others unlawfully.
Post illegal, offensive or inappropriate content.
Impersonate another person or business.
Attempt to hack, disrupt or misuse the website.
Submit fraudulent jobs, bookings or recommendations.
Enterprise Barbados may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.
9. Responsibility and Liability
Enterprise Barbados acts as an intermediary connecting users.
We are not a party to contracts made between customers, providers, job seekers or employers.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Enterprise Barbados is not responsible for losses or damages arising from the conduct of independent users, including incomplete work, poor workmanship, property damage, personal injury, missed appointments, payment disputes or inaccurate listings.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Privacy and Personal Information
We collect and process account information, contact details, uploaded content and certain technical information to operate and secure the platform.
Some technical information, including IP addresses, may be processed to support website statistics, security and approximate visitor location reporting.
Personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Barbados data protection laws.
